The United States and Ukraine have signed a long-anticipated agreement granting Washington access to Kyiv’s natural resources and outlining support for Ukraine’s reconstruction after the war. The US Treasury describes the deal as a firm message to Moscow that the Trump administration remains committed to a diplomatic resolution.
Anatol Lieven, Director of the Eurasia Programme at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, calls it a diplomatic success for Ukraine.
